Very enjoyable to watch. I don't think I will be doing this any time soon, but Your video made me want to get some baby shrimp going for my 29 gallon shrimp/endler tank, a jungle of frog bit roots hanging down, guppy grass, & java moss and a few other plants, driftwood, a little coral rock, anyway there are always fry hiding out in the plants, & baby shrimp is a good way to feed the shrimp & endler fry.& help them thrive.

love the videos mate, love the shop, totally get the fish room coffee, only difference is that the granules go immediately bitter and burnt the second you add high temperature liquid, but the colder temperature liquids such as milk first r even a small dash a waterfirst takes that burning bitterness brnt issue away and pre melts the granules a little bit, i understand people want a coffee how they want a coffee and i appreciate that, im actually similar with my specific coffee style so this is a positive healthy comment in support fof you,,,, its just hilarious watching all these videos where you are watching the temperature and ph and nitrates and oxygens levels and monitoring temperatures all day into liquids and all that stuff then yeah the coffee liquid is like a total non concern for you and i find that hilarious given how deep the world of coffee making goes and its essentially the same as the world of fish keeping, you just do stuff to a liquid to make it the right temperature and acidity or whatever, my current coffee is a mokka pot black coffeee with a piece of butter and thats how i like it. cheers mate i like the fish room coffee system and i like how you taught me a lot of things about plants i can now go and harvest cheers thanks mate

This is not good information, separate mother fish in a very small container. This causes too much stress and could cause the mother to die. They would rather be raised separately in a normal aquarium, what you are doing is animal abuse.

Great little beginners fish that can handle quite cold water, we used to have these in wine barrels at the plant nursery I worked at, we used to give people a free scoop of young when they would buy a water plant, good for mosquito control but you just have to be careful they don't get into our waterways, there has been colonies in the past in some of our mountain streams from probably people releasing them, Thanks for sharing Nick always fun to watch.

I don't know if you can get Jordanella floridae it has a two common names American flagfish and Florida flagfish it is one of the best algae eaters I have seen just one of them took care of most of my algae in a 60 gallon mostly by itself, what I had in the tank was blanket weed, Cyanobacteria, hair algae (does not seem to eat diatoms as much even so it still does) it took this fish less then a week to clean a large tank that was looking really bad I'd highly recommend it.

I was surprised mine had fry but I need more plants to hide them. They are all gone now

I want to breed small fish as feed for my chickens. I tried to breed that several years ago (indoor)without any sunlight or as minimum light as possible. It is like breeding it in a cave. But if it will takes 30 days to breed, i guess it is not helpful as feed for the chicken. 🙂

I have aome of these, i love watching them in my tank playing around. Will say the long fin one was much a surprise to find from that batch. So nice.
